We had a lot of work to do in the hour, but she brought a friend and we had the talented Isaac Meyers on staff for quick and easy makeup changes.  This calender will not only last a year, but I’m sure she will cherish this for a long time.  Great work Beth, I had fun getting this project done with you.

Secrets in Lace

I stumbled upon this enchanting little boutique while reading my favorite underthing blog, The Lingerie Post.  For starters I loved their tag line:  Stop Wearing Underwear, Start Wearing Lingerie. It’s the perfect summation to what beautiful lingerie can do for a woman.  Lingerie is beauty concealed, waiting to be REvealed, the most intimate article of clothing we wear.  The mere presence of something beautiful shaping and framing the naughty bits is enough to give me confidence and that certain something that makes me feel special throughout the day.  Underwear is so utilitarian.  It does the job but without the style and grace a girl needs sometimes.

La Petite Coquette has an amazing selection, from the much under appreciated slip (say bye bye VPL, and they add a little extra layer in the colder months, thanks), to adhesive bras and in general has a beautiful collection for women looking for something other than Victoria’s Secret.

Farr West has a welcome collection of real world lingerie that soars above the mundane but is real life enough for every day.  Check out their collection of slips.  Makes, me want to wear a dress and heels everyday.

Secrets in Lace is full of inspiration for girls looking for a vintage or retro lingerie look.  Been searching for a bullet bra?  You’ve found it.  European heel nylons?  Check.  Tap pants?  No problem.  They even sell crinolines.  If your inner Marilyn Monroe has been itching to get out, you will definitely find her lacy things here.
